How it all started ... my journey, my dream

It was 1992, Smithtown, Long Island, New York I began my career as a nail specialist. In the year 2000 I worked in a salon that was a 1920's two story colonial home. In the home we had a brick fireplace, several bedrooms on the 2nd floor that were converted into a personal salon that served as facial, waxing, and nail rooms, and on the first floor was where the hair magic started.

The foyer served well as the reception area (and was more like a welcome area); the kitchen was the shampoo area; and the living room and dining room were the stylist area! We treated all Clients as special guests and family ... offering and making available coffee , tea, a cold beverage, pastries, and every Saturday we had the best New York style bagels and cream cheese.

The atmosphere was warm and friendly ... maybe better stated - AMAZING. When our Clients entered the front door, they were immediately greeted with a friendly smile and a warm hello. Our Clients  often told us they felt like yelling"honey, I'm home!" Unfortunately for the staff and the Clients of Total Approach Day Spa, the owner became ill and soon passed away, and so did Total Approach !!!!!!!

On September 27th, 2001 I moved to Florida. I worked in a few salons and unfortunately they were filled with lots of DRAMA - VERY COLD, and clients were treated as CATTLE! The Clients were NOT treated like they were #1. I felt that I needed to bring something special to Pasco County.

Now years later, with fond memories of that wonderful experience I had in New York, I have brought Total Approach salon back to life again, just in another state. My desire was to create the same warm and welcoming feeling we had in New York. So, with my husband Tony's hard work,and dedication, that it took to create the perfect image, it finally happened! You are greeted by one of the Staff members and are personally attended to as you prepare for your appointment.Coffee, bottled water, wine,pastries,and pop corn are offered free to our clients every day. Flat screened televisions are in the welcoming area and pedicure room for your entertainment. We are not a $100 Hair Cut Salon ... we are not that $5.00 chop shop that makes you look like what you payed for. We are an honest, reliable, professional Salon that makes you feel like you just stepped into a up-scale Salon - without paying that upscale price!

On September 8th, 2008, Total Approach was re-born to serve Port Richey FL, for all to feel that original Total Approach experience!

I thank my friends, my family for their unwavering support, my Staff for being a part of my dream, and I especially thank my Clients for living and being a part of this experience and making my dream come true!
